N1 Adventure School is a summer enrichment programme for children in school years 5 & 6.

The school is organised and run by St Peter’s Children and Young People’s Activities Group (Charity Registration Number 1182872).
Charity Trustees

Sue Richards, Chair
Sue Richards is chair of the charity behind N1 Adventure School and was for many years a
professor in the School of Public Policy, University of Birmingham.
Since retiring, she has become a campaigner to stop the privatisation of the NHS, and works to support education for local children in Islington.

Helen Schofield, Treasurer
Helen is a retired community worker/administrator, active bellringer at St James Prebend St and a visitor to police stations in Islington to check on people in custody.

Carl Keegan, Trustee/Project Director
Carl has been with the charity as a teacher since the first year, and is now a trustee, as well
as the Project Director.
He has in depth experience in special educational needs and works in the local pupil referral unit as Head of Centre, supporting children and families with a nurturing approach.
Outside of school, he loves travelling and meeting new people.

Gabriela Clouter, Trustee/Healthy Eating
Gabriela recently retired as a GP partner in a large multicultural practice in N16, where she
worked for 25 years. She is interested in health promotion and is also a volunteer at London
Zoo. Nowadays she has more time to enjoy all that London has to offer in classical concerts
and art galleries.

Melissa Clarke, Trustee/School Liaison
Melissa has a background in administration and education, and has been involved in local
voluntary projects for over 25 years. She loves collaborating with the partner schools and
fellow trustees to help with the smooth running of the project. In her spare time, you might
find her running along the canal towpath trying to understand French podcasts.

James Burberry, Trustee/IT Specialist
As a local parent to a primary-age son, James is passionate about improving the opportunities available to all schoolchildren in Islington and beyond.
James is a freelance IT Consultant and a cricket fan, and hopes to contribute experience and enthusiasm from both arenas.

Annie Faulder, Trustee
Annie recently moved to Islington from Yorkshire and previously worked in a variety of senior roles in local government, health and the energy industry. While living in Yorkshire she was a trustee of The Leeds Library, a school governor and for many years chair of a large inner city neighbourhood association. Her spare time is spent exploring Islington, enjoying all that London offers and seeing friends and her son who live in the borough.
